The tour lasts about 2 hours and includes a visit to:
The “Castello”: with an explanation of its history, its vicissitudes and its architecture. As we walk through the ground floor and piano nobile, we will show you the works of art and furnishings in the rooms. And piano players will have the chance to play a period instrument.
Historic Park: during our walk through its 12 hectares, we will tell you about its main characteristics, its layout, and the reasons for its design. We will explain the splendid scenery that the architect Bagnara thought up for this unique place and together we will watch the wild animals that live here: herons, ducks, moorhens and squirrels. For exploration of all the secrets of the lake and the park, bikes will be made available as will a romantic rowing boat.
Ancient Wine Cellars: we will walk through the “Large Cellar” (mid- eighteenth century), admiring its impressive beams and the casks that still bear the signs of World War One and Austrian occupation. We will also explore the Ageing Crypts dating back to 1427 where we will taste our organic and vegan wines and share our secrets for making great wines.
An exceptional part of the tour is the Church of San Giorgio (fifteenth century). Just 2 km from the ageing vaults stands this church with its frescoes from 1466 A.D. depicting “The Last Supper”. A detail worth noting is that, on the table, as well as bread and wine, there are also king prawns, even then a gourmet delight!
