Check out our guided visits and tasting sessions: explore our history and passion for doing things well as you learn more about these fascinating places.

The Ancient Wine Cellars, the Farm, Castle and Parco Storico will surprise you!

The “Castello”: with an explanation of its history, its vicissitudes and its architecture. You will be surprised by many of the typical elements from the Tudor period (from 1485 to 1603 in British history): the English-style park, the two wings with their crenelated towers, the gargoyles, Tudor arch and bow windows. The result is definitely an atypical style, extremely refined with highly distinctive features. As we walk through the ground floor and piano nobile, we will show you the works of art and furnishings in the rooms.

Historic Park: during our walk through its 12 hectares, we will tell you about its main characteristics, its layout, and the reasons for its design. We will explain the splendid scenery that the architect Bagnara thought up for this unique place and together we will watch the wild animals that live here: herons, ducks, moorhens and squirrels. For exploration of all the secrets of the lake and the park, bikes will be made available as will a romantic rowing boat. You will have a handy map showing you how to reach the two islands.

Antiche Cantine: the Giol estate is still today a splendid testimony to rural life and the roots of San Polo di Piave. Inside the old wine cellar, Giovanni's great-grandson Vittorio keeps alive the oldest of the activities that have been practised in this complex for centuries.

With hard work and dedication, the estate intends to hand down and preserve the memory of these places so that future generations may learn about the history of this town. Renovation of the historic buildings and the gathering of first-hand accounts from locals are a legacy essential for understanding how today’s society has evolved.

You will be able to admire our “Great Cellar”, our impressive barn measuring 1,320 m², the old dairy; you will get a chance to taste our organic and vegan wines inside the ageing “Crypts”, whose construction dates back to 1427.

The Giol estate today vinifies the grapes from the old vineyards it owns using biological agricultural techniques, with respect for the environment and the raw materials, producing vegetarian and vegan wines and a line with no added sulphites.
